Maid of Honor Duties
Being the Maid of Honor at a wedding is a very special thing. The bride has put her trust in you to make her wedding day the best it can be. As the Maid/Matron of Honor you need to make sure everything goes off without a hitch. Below I’ll list some duties that you will need to be prepared for as the special wedding day approaches.
Maid of Honor Duties: Some of your duties will include but not be limited to helping the bride pick out the dresses, help address the invitations and place cards, take part in the processional and recessional events and insure that the flower girl and bridesmaids are at the rehearsal, fittings and ceremony on time.
Maid of Honor Etiquette: You will need to host the bridal shower and bachelorette parties, prepare a speech and/or toast to the bride and groom, prepare the bride for the wedding by helping her get dressed and attending to her every need throughout the day. At the reception you will need to organize and run the receiving line, help the bride get changed and dance with the best man among other things.
Now there are many, many more tasks involved with being a maid of honor and you will need to know them all before you get started. You have been given this task become someone loves and trusts you with her life.
